In 2019 we determined that additional resources were required to ensure that our company continued to provide backend quality resources to our customers. Throughout the last few years it became increasingly challenging to find manufacturing expertise in a variety of fields. In view of this we made the decision to open an India operation with the key purpose of adding highly qualified resources at competitive rates.
Our office is now operational and being developed further to assist in the following areas:
- Documentation: Management of BOMs, ECOs, Data inputting and reports
- Process Engineering: Creation of Process Flows, BOM analysis, Profile preparation, visual aids, identifying alternates and in-depth analysis
- Quoting: Preparing and reviewing quotes
- Purchasing: Preparing purchase orders, planning, identifying alternate suppliers
The plan will be for our company to continue to further develop and expand our office. We believe that the pool of talent available in India is second to none, and there will be ample scope of providing further cost-competitive services to our existing and new customers, including at our second phase, ATE designs, detailed DFM analysis and specific customer centers within our offices.
In addition, from a short-term perspective, EMLinQ will be able to operate on a 24-hour basis since India will be operational while our US offices are closed. We believe this will enhance our level of service to our customers, where time is of the essence.
