EMLinQ Now Offering a Near-Shore Solution from their Mexicali, Mexico Fascility

Mexicali- EMLinQ LLC has opened the doors to its second production factory, with a location in Mexicali, Mexico. With this new facility, EMLinQ will be able to offer its customers a premium value add a solution for their high volume and labor-intensive production needs by extending its footprint into the lower-cost territory. “Re-shoring” has brought skilled labor and high-quality standards back to North America, and our Mexicali facility has benefited from this and the addition of a new team of EMS professionals.

The 25,000 square foot facility is outfitted with first-rate, new SMT equipment, including a Hitachi G4/G5 line and a highly specialized line that is capable of building 48” long PCBAs. Additional plans to offer new services are already in place and will be announced in due course.

Manufacturing in Mexicali provides many advantages for our customers that do not exist with overseas production. Logistically speaking, the need and cost of ocean freighting finished goods is eliminated, and in many cases, there will be little to no duties because of NAFTA. This new operation will enhance our ability to respond quickly to customer needs, while providing the benefits of comparable Asian cost structures, and simplifying the overall planning process. Our Mexicali facility is located close to the US border, and most importantly, it is in a similar time zone to most of our valued customers. This allows for real-time engineering and quality solutions, as both plant engineers can easily be in contact, and could travel from one location to the other if needed. EMLinQ Simi Valley will continue to interface with our partners making the experience seamless for them.

EMLinQ LLC has been looking to transition into a multi-facility company for quite some time, as to better serve customers throughout the country. With years of steady growth under its belt, and after several trips to different potential production sites, EMLinQ has found the right fit in our location to the south.
